Rector of St. George's Episcopal Church and School Chaplain
Father Kevin joined the St. George's community in May of 2010 and he received his Master's Degree in Divinity at the Seminary of the Southwest. Father Kevin leads us in chapel on Thursday mornings and he is always available for visits by students and parents alike!
Head of School
Jerri began serving as the Head of School for St. George's in May 2014. With over 33 years of experience and a Masters in Early Childhood Education, she serves as a leader in our field. She is the Vice President of Professional Development for the Austin Association for the Education of Young Children, a Master Registered Trainer for the state of Texas, and owner of her business ECEToday. She also wrote a Scope and Sequence for ages 3 months-Kindergarten and Assessment Tools that accompany the Scope and Sequence. Through her years as an early childhood teacher, adjunct instructor, trainer, consultant, and administrator, Jerri strives to leave a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.
Crystal joined St George's in August of 2015 with her degree in Family and Child Development from Texas State University. She has 10 years of teaching experience, giving her a wealth of knowledge to support our teachers and parents as our Assistant Director. She loves sharing her knowledge in Teacher Training, Age Level Meetings and Parent Education Seminars.
Erin has been working at St. George's since the Summer of 2013. She has a degree from the University of Texas at Austin in Cultural Anthropology. Erin is your 'go to gal' for any questions that you have about invoices/payments. Erin is also the PTF liaison to administration and assists in organizing events, fundraising and sharing the wonderful things we do here at St. George's with the community.
Fun Zone Coordinator & Rainbow Room - Assistant Teacher
Carissa joined St. George's in the Summer of 2016. She has a B.A. in Psychology with a Child Emphasis and has 15+ years of experience in early childhood education including time as an Early Intervention Specialist at Early Childhood Intervention. As Fun Zone Coordinator, Carissa assists teachers and parents in the afternoon with extra-curricular classes and age-appropraite planned activities.
Lead Teacher - Red Room
Ms. Mary Jane is an Austin native with two boys of her own. She has close to 10 years of experience in childcare and has her CDA from Austin Community College. She is a mentor with the Girl Scouts and loves being with children. Mary Jane joined the St. George's community in the fall of 2015.
Red Room - Assistant Teacher
Ms. Carla comes to Austin from Hattiesburg, MS. She joined St. George's in the fall of 2015 as the Red Room Assistant Teacher. Carla quickly found her love for infants and immediately began attending school at Austin Community College earning credits towards her CDA.
Green Room - Lead Teacher
Ms. Cindy is the Lead Teacher in the Green Room. She is a native of Seguin, TX and came to Austin in 1986 to attend the University of Texas at Austin. She has spent close to 15 years of her professional career at St. George's and has taught in almost every classroom as well as assisting in administration. Both of Cindy's daughters attended St. George's for preschool and has a true passion for our community.
Green Room - Assistant Teacher
Angelina began teaching at St. George's in the fall of 2014 during the afternoons as a Fun Zone Teacher and was hired full time in the fall of 2016. She's currently in school working towards her business degree at Austin Community College.
Purple Room - Co-Lead Teacher
Ms. Kat has 20+ years of experience working with young children. She also has an Associates in Child Development from Austin Community College. Ms. Kat has experience working with all pre-school and toddler age groups and is continuously learning and broadening her knowledge base.
Purple Room - Co-Lead Teacher
Ms. Angie has over 10 years of experience and a degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin. She's been part of the St. George's community since the Summer of 2014 and has flourished as one of our toddler teachers.
Orange Room - Lead Teacher
Ms. Gracie was born and raised in Austin, TX. She has her B.A. in Early Education and is passionate about teaching and has a love for watching kiddos grow. She began working at St. George's during the summer in 2014 and joined us full time in the fall of 2015.
Orange Room - Assistant Teacher
Ms. Jeanne has her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently working on a Bachelors Degree in Child & Family Studies from the University of Southern Mississippi. With close to 10 years of teaching experience she has spent time as both a lead and an assistant teacher. Jeanne's life passion is with teaching and is dedicated to the education of our little ones.
Yellow Room - Lead Teacher
Ms. Carmel is the Lead Teacher in the Yellow Room and has a degree in Child Development. Carmel has a true love for St. George's, with close to 10 years of teaching experience here and two boys of her own who graduated Pre-K from St. G's!
Yellow Room - Assistant Teacher
Mr. Tyler was born & raised in rural Indiana, and he earned a B.A. in Creative Writing at Ball State Universities. This past spring, he graduated from U.T.-Austin with an MFA in Poetry from the Michener Center for Writers. For over ten years, he has worked in a variety of educational settings--summer camps, teaching adults with intellectual disabilities, tutoring in elementary schools, and more--and he is excited to bring his enthusiasm and creative energy to the Yellow Room as he joins the St. George's team this fall.
Blue Room - Lead Teacher
Ms. Hilary is the lead teacher in the Blue Room. She has her degree in Early Childhood Education and has over 10 years of experience in the field. Hilary joined St. George's in the fall of 2014 and has found her sweet spot working with the 3's classroom.
Blue Room - Assistant Teacher
Ms. Gail comes to St. George's with over 20 years of experience in early childhood education. She has her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from Wilkes University in Pennsylvania. Ms. Gail never stops learning herself and is committed to the emotional growth and education of children.
Rainbow Room - Lead Teacher
Ms. Mari joins us at St. George's with 15+ years of early childhood experience and she has a Child Development Associates Degree. Her strengths include keeping a calm demeanor when times get stressful, developing deep and loving relationships with the children across the school and her colorful and creative classrooms! Mari is a native Austinite and has a lot of love for this community, especially it's sport teams!
Rainbow Room - Assistant Teacher & Fun Zone Teacher
Ms. Gay has been at St. George's for close to 10 years and has been a Pre-School Teacher on and off for more than 40 years. Ms. Gay is also St. George's 'Master Gardener'. She has a wealth of knowledge that she loves to share with the children and teachers are often coming to her with questions about their own gardens!
Motor Skills & Music Teacher
Ms. Dafne is new to Austin by way of Mexico City followed by Houston. She is working on her last few credits to complete a BA in Early Education. Her one true love is soccer. She began playing as a child and was on her high school varsity team and still plays today. She worked as a soccer coach for children from 18 months to 8 years old. Dafne is also certified as a 'Zoomba Kids' instructor. She loves sharing these lessons with children in Motor Skills & Music class!
Mr. David is a native Michigander, but has thoroughly enjoyed living in Austin for the past 10 years. He has been working with young children for 10+ years, and enjoyed working in roles such as full-time nanny and camp counselor. He also teaches Sunday school to preschoolers at his church, and has spent the last 3.5 years teaching at another fantastic preschool here in Austin. He is super excited to join the St. George's family!
Ms. Rita has over 20 years of teaching experience. She's from Yorktown, TX and has been in Austin for over 10 years. Her passion is in early childhood and her strengths and skills include understanding children of all ages, connecting with the children and maintaining classroom organization.
