Rector of St. George's Episcopal Church and School Chaplain
Father Kevin joined the St. George's community in May of 2010 and he received his Master's Degree in Divinity at the Seminary of the Southwest. Father Kevin leads us in chapel on Thursday mornings and he is always available for visits by students and parents alike!
Head of School
Jerri began serving as the Head of School for St. George's in May 2014. With over 35 years of experience and a Masters in Early Childhood Education, she serves as a leader in our field. She is the President for the Austin Chapter of Texas Association for the Education of Young Children, a Master Registered Trainer for the state of Texas, and owner of her business ECEToday. She also wrote a Scope and Sequence for ages 3 months-Kindergarten and Assessment Tools that accompany the Scope and Sequence. Through her years as an early childhood teacher, adjunct instructor, trainer, consultant, and administrator, Jerri strives to leave a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.
Director of Education
Brandy joined St. George’s as the Director of Education in Summer 2018. She has a B.S. in Family and Child Development and a Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Occupational, Workforce and Leadership Studies, as well as a Certificate of Ethics, from Texas State University. During her undergrad, Brandy had the opportunity to be an Exchange Student at Stockholm University, where she was an intern at an international preschool. During her time at the international school, she admired the independence and self-regulation of a young child. Her passion grew for serving the early childhood community as a graduate student and joined the Austin Chapter of Texas Association for the Education of Young Children Professional Development Team. She enjoys bringing her pup, Waffles, everywhere she goes!
Director of Operations
Ms. Gabi is an Austin native. She studied studio art at the University of Texas at Austin. She began her journey at St. George’s as a parent and fell in love with the school. She was excited to join the staff in March of 2019. She comes to us from a state-wide, social justice non-profit where she was the Operations Manager. She is looks forward to be able to shift her focus to early childhood education, which is where her passion lies. In addition to her duties at St. George's, Ms. Gabi serves the greater Austin early childhood community as the Austin Chapter of TXAEYC Communication Chair. We are lucky to have Ms. Gabi join the St. George Community!
Red Room - Co-Lead Teacher
Ms. Mary Jane is an Austin native with two boys of her own. She has over 10 years of experience in childcare and has her CDA from Austin Community College. She is a mentor with the Girl Scouts and loves being with children. Mary Jane joined the St. George's community in the fall of 2015.
Red Room - Co-Lead Teacher
Ms. Carla comes to Austin from Hattiesburg, MS. She joined St. George's in the fall of 2015 as a Red Room Teacher. Carla quickly found her love for infants and immediately began attending school at Austin Community College earning credits towards her CDA.
Green Room - Lead Teacher
Ms. Cindy is the Lead Teacher in the Green Room. She is a native of Seguin, TX and came to Austin in 1986 to attend the University of Texas at Austin. She has spent close to 15 years of her professional career at St. George's and has taught in almost every classroom as well as assisting in administration. Both of Cindy's daughters attended St. George's for preschool and she has a true passion for our community.
Green Room - Assistant Teacher
Ms. Ashley joined St. George's team in Spring of 2019. She was born and raised in Austin. Ashley was a babysitter for three years while she attended Austin Community College for her basic college credits. She has decided to take a break from school and follow her passion for working with children! She is excited to gain experience in the early childhood field and looks forward to pursuing a early childhood education degree in the future. We are thrilled to have Ashley join the St. George's Community!
Purple Room - Lead Teacher
Ms. Angie has over 10 years of experience and a degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin. She's been part of the St. George's community since the Summer of 2014 and has flourished as one of our toddler teachers.
Purple Room - Assistant Teacher
Angelina began teaching at St. George's in the fall of 2014 during the afternoons as a Fun Zone Teacher and was hired full time in the fall of 2016. She's currently in school working towards her business degree at Austin Community College.
Orange Room - Co-Lead Teacher
Kim is a born and raised Texan with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas State University. She holds her Texas Teacher Certification in early childhood-4th grade. Kim and her husband are the proud parents of two young boys-Ryan and Luke. She brings over 8 years of experience working with young children to St. George's.
Orange Room - Co-Lead Teacher
Originally from California, Terrie moved to Austin in 2006. She has an Associates Degree in Behavioral Science and over 30 years of experience in teaching. Her true passion in life is working with young children.
Orange Room - Fun Zone Teacher
Ms. Rita has over 20 years of teaching experience. She's from Yorktown, TX and has been in Austin for over 10 years. Her passion is in early childhood and her strengths and skills include understanding & connecting with children of all ages & developing wonderful relationships with our families and teachers.
Yellow Room - Lead Teacher
Ms. Jeanne has her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently working on a Bachelors Degree in Child & Family Studies. With close to 10 years of teaching experience she has spent time as both a lead and an assistant teacher. Being a teacher is Jeanne's life passion and is dedicated to the education of our little ones.
Yellow Room - Assistant Teacher
Originially from a Maryland suburb of Washington, D.C., Emma moved to Austin in January, 2019. She recieved her B.A. in English Literature from Loyola University New Orleans, and has over 7 years of experience with children as a classroom assistant, camp counselor, full-time nanny, and tutor. She is excited to be part of the St. George's community and can't wait to explore more of Austin!
Pink Room - Co-Lead Teacher
Ms. Carmel is the Lead Teacher in the Yellow Room and has a degree in Child Development. Carmel has a true love for St. George's, with over 10 years of teaching here and two boys of her own who graduated Pre-K from St. G's!
Pink Room - Co-Lead Teacher
Cindy C. moved to Austin from Georgia in 2014 and is loving life in Texas! She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education and holds a certification to teach Pre-K - 6th grade. She brings 10 years of teaching experience working with infants, Pre-school and Pre-K age groups. Cindy has two grown daughters who now have children of their own, making her a grandmother of four!
Blue Room - Lead Teacher
Melissa has been teaching for over 16 years in early childhood education. Melissa always wanted to teach, She enjoys helping children learn and grow. She loves exploring science experiments with children and watching their minds expand.
Blue Room - Assistant Teacher
Ms. Gail comes to St. George's with over 20 years of experience in early childhood education. She has her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from Wilkes University in Pennsylvania. Ms. Gail never stops learning herself and is committed to the emotional growth and education of children.
Rainbow Room - Co- Lead Teacher
Ms. Mari has 15+ years of early childhood experience and a Child Development Associates Degree. Her strengths include keeping a calm demeanor when times get stressful, developing deep and loving relationships with the children across the school and her colorful and creative classrooms! Mari is a native Austinite and has a lot of love for this community, especially it's sport teams!
Rainbow Room - Co-Lead Teacher
Ms. Hilary is the lead teacher in the Rainbow Room. She has her degree in Early Childhood Education and has over 10 years of experience in the field. Hilary joined St. George's in the fall of 2014 and loves being part of this community.
Rainbow - Fun Zone Teacher
Ms. Gay has been at St. George's for close to 10 years and has been a Pre-School Teacher on and off for more than 40 years. Ms. Gay is also St. George's 'Master Gardener'. She has a wealth of knowledge that she loves to share with the children and teachers are often coming to her with questions about their own gardens!
Motor Skills Teacher
Ms. Kat has 20+ years of experience working with young children and also has an Associates in Child Development from Austin Community College. Ms. Kat has experience working with all pre-school and toddler age groups and is continuously learning and broadening her knowledge base.
Austin has been Laura’s home for the last 7 years. She has a variety of experience with young children, including teaching piano, Pre-k, Sunday school, and homeschooling her own 3 children (all grown and living in TX with one grandson!). Laura has studied Montessori and Kindermusick and is soon to begin her studies in Child Development at Austin Community College.
Tarik has lived in Austin for over 15 years, on and off, but originally graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in upper level history (WWII) and composition. He has always had an affinity for education and has worked with children from several age groups; from middle school to high school and college. He has previously mentored students and is currently studying to fulfill a 2nd bachelors in the Science of Nursing. He loves all things musical.
Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Jordan moved to Austin in August 2019 to attend the University of Texas at Austin. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations with a certificate in Ethics and Leadership in Law, Politics and Government. She has worked within the Socorro Independent School District in El Paso for two years and is excited to be able to work with teachers, parents and most importantly students once again!
