Head of School
Jerri began serving as the Head of School for St. George's in May 2014. With over 35 years of experience and a Masters in Early Childhood Education, she serves as a leader in our field. She is the President for the Austin Chapter of Texas Association for the Education of Young Children, a Master Registered Trainer for the state of Texas, and owner of her business ECEToday. She also wrote a Scope and Sequence for ages 3 months-Kindergarten and Assessment Tools that accompany the Scope and Sequence. Through her years as an early childhood teacher, adjunct instructor, trainer, consultant, and administrator, Jerri strives to leave a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.
Assistant Head of School
Ms. Gabi is an Austin native. She studied studio art at the University of Texas at Austin. She began her journey at St. George’s as a parent and fell in love with the school. She was excited to join the staff in March of 2019. She comes to us from a state-wide, social justice non-profit where she was the Operations Manager. She looks forward to be able to shift her focus to early childhood education, which is where her passion lies. In addition to her duties at St. George's, Ms. Gabi serves the greater Austin early childhood community as the Austin Chapter of TXAEYC Communication Chair. We are lucky to have Ms. Gabi join the St. George Community!
Educational Director -Preschool
Ms. Mari has 20+ years of early childhood experience and a Child Development Associates Degree. Her strengths include keeping a calm demeanor when times get stressful, developing deep and loving relationships with the children across the school and her colorful and creative classrooms! Mari is a native Austinite and has a lot of love for this community, especially it's sport teams!
Educational Director of Infant / Toddler
Ms. Carla comes to Austin from Hattiesburg, MS. She joined St. George's in the fall of 2015 as an infant teacher. Carla quickly found her love for infants and toddlers and immediately began attending school at Austin Community College earning credits towards her CDA. Ms. Carla has 5 years of experience in Early Childhood Education.
Hi my name is Evelyn Hogan! I was born in Haiti but spent most of my childhood in Coeur d'Alene Idaho. I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, and painting in my free time. I have worked in childcare for about 11 years. I received my B.S in Business Administration from Post University as well as my CDA.
Red Room- Lead Teacher
Hi! My name is Michelle Wilkins and I am the Lead Teacher in the Red Room. I have been working in childcare for almost 2 years now and I’ve found a passion for working with infants. I’m originally from the Philippines and have lived there for 8 years before moving back to Texas with my family in 2018. We had moved back here so I could pursue my degree in English, which I’m taking at Texas State to finish my bachelors. I hope to put it to use in teaching or working in publishing.
Red Room- Assistant Teacher
Ms. Shannon was born in the bay area in California but considers Austin home. In 2004, she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. She has 14 years of experience working in a school administrative office as the Director of Admissions. She has a passion for working in schools and is so excited to be a part of the St. George's community. She hopes to keep everything running smoothly for the staff, parents, and the children.
Red Room- Floater
Hello! My name is Jenna Carpenter and I am the floater between the Red and Rose classrooms. This is my first year at St. George’s, but I have worked in childcare for almost 4 years now! I have worked with children of all ages from 6 weeks to age 10 but have developed a passion for infants. I enjoy being able to help the infants grow and help them learn new things!
Rose Room - Lead Teacher (Maternity Leave)
Ms. Angie has over 12 years of experience and a Bachelor degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin. She's been part of the St. George's community since the Summer of 2014 and has flourished as one of our infant/toddler teachers.
Rose Room- Assistant Teacher
Hi , My name is Corinea Davis this is my first year working at St. George’s. I also just recently moved to Austin from Baton Rouge , Louisiana. I have a three year old daughter and one year old son. I’ve worked in childcare with children from 6weeks to age 7 for 8 years. I enjoy watching children learn , grow , and accomplishing new things. It is very rewarding to me. My goal is to build and maintain relationships to achieve St.George’s mission and purpose. By patiently helping our infants develop, overcome frustrations and cheering them on as they accomplish their goals.
Green Room - Lead Teacher
Ms. Cindy is the Lead Teacher in the Green Room. She is a native of Seguin, TX and came to Austin in 1986 to attend the University of Texas at Austin. She has spent close to 15 years of her professional career at St. George's and has taught in almost every classroom as well as assisting in administration. Both of Cindy's daughters attended St. George's for preschool and she has a true passion for our community.
Green Room- Assistant Teacher
Ms. Cathryn is a San Antonio native, who moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas. She has a Bachelor's degree in Applied Learning and Development and has been working with young children for 5 years. She comes from a lineage of teachers and knew at an early age that teaching was her passion. Ms. Cathryn is dedicated, loving, and excited to join the community at St. George’s!

Purple Room- Lead Teacher
I’m Ms. Iram. I moved to this beautiful city of Austin this year from Dubai and I love it here! I have a Bachelors in Sociology/Psychology and a CACHE 3 diploma in Early Childhood Development from the UK. I have 12+ years of experience in early years. It has always given me extreme satisfaction being with children because their playful energy is just contagious. Their unprecedented curiosity towards exploration and learning is undoubtedly a beautiful sight, and I love being there to witness it. In my free time, I love to explore some new techniques for art and travel.
Orange Room - Lead Teacher
Ms. Christina is originally from Dallas, Texas. She moved to Austin to pursue her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences with a focus on Early Childhood at the University of Texas at Austin. Her passion for working with children has led to a deeper connection when she started interning at the UT child development lab school. She has over 4 years of experience in early childhood working as a toddler and infant teacher, after school program instructor, babysitter, and as a sports coach. She is so excited to be a part of St. George’s community and cannot wait to apply her skills and knowledge that she has acquired over the years.
Orange Room- Assistant Teacher
I am originally from Oklahoma, and moved to Texas a little over a year ago. I attended OSU for Early Childhood Education, and am excited for the opportunity to finish my degree here. I have a strong passion for working with children and have worked in this field for over five years. I love encouraging many opportunities for learning and watching children strive while forming strong relationships with my students and their families. I am excited for the opportunity of utilizing my passion here at St. George’s.
Yellow Room- Lead Teacher
Hello my name is Estella Peralez. I am from Lockhart, TX. I have 18+ years experience working with children of all ages including special needs children. I have 4 children of my own. I had my own home childcare for 6 years. I feel I found my home here at St. George’s. I am very excited to see what this school year will bring me and my yellow room friends. I’m looking forward to getting to know you and your child.
Yellow Room- Assistant Teacher
Hello, my name is Laura Martinez. I was born in Laredo, TX, but raised in Austin, TX. I have 3 children of my own. I am so excited to be part of St. George’s School. For the past 2 and half years I have been working as an assistant teacher, from working with babies up to 4 year olds. I have a huge passion working with kids, watching them grown and learn new things. I will be furthering my career in child development and obtain my degree. I am thankful for you giving me an opportunity to work and teach your child!
Pink Room - Co Lead Teacher
Ms. Carmel is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Yellow Room and has a degree in Child Development. Ms. Carmel has a true love for St. George's, with over 12 years of teaching here and two boys of her own who graduated Pre-K from St. G's!

Blue Room- Lead Teacher
I grew up in Massachusetts and recently moved to Austin, TX. I have extensive experience working with children, and worked in after-school programs, as a behavioral therapist and as a preschool teacher. I am currently enrolled in a Master's Program for Early Childhood Education as well and will be able to use the knowledge I learn at St. Georges. I enjoy forming a strong bond with my students and their families and I have a passion for watching children learn and grow.
Blue Room - Assistant Teacher
Ms. Gail is originally from Pennsylvania . She has over 25 years of experience in childcare and has her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Psychology. Ms. Gail joined the St. George's community in the fall of 2016. Her favorite thing about working with children is seeing their excitement when they discover something new.
Rainbow Room - Co Lead Teacher
I’ve had 22 years of early childhood experience and have a CDA in Early Childhood Development. I started as a volunteer at a Sunday school when I was in High School and fell in love with the idea of having a career where you get to teach and have fun with children. What I love most is the excitement children experience when they learn or achieve an understanding of something new. I’m a Texan all the way, born and raised. Outside of teaching I love reading novel after novel, watching sci-fi and horror movies, and hanging out with my wife Dena and 19-year-old son Preston! I’m a big believer in family time and pretty much spend most of my time with them at BBQ’s, theme weekend parties, and movie nights at each other’s houses. I feel so Blessed to be entering my 5th year of teaching here at St. George and look forward to an awesome time in the Rainbow Room.
Rainbow Room- Co Lead Teacher
Hi I am Ms. Tami! I have over 15 year of experience in education and early childhood development. I attended Le Tillotson University and I'm currently enrolled at Huston Tillotron to earn my certification to teach. I love working with children because it is, one of the most fulfilling careers you can have. I love watching their faces light up with a knowledge and understanding of something they didn't know the day before. I was born and raised in Austin TX and I now reside in Cedar Park. I have a 27 yr old son and am expecting my first grandbaby in February! In my spare time I love to travel and cheer on my Los Angeles Lakers. I am so excited to be at St.George’s and am looking forward to an amazing year!
My name is Nubia Rivas and I was born and raised in Austin. I am currently attending school at UT Austin to earn my BS degree in Early Childhood Education. Growing up my life revolved around music so in my free time I teach private lessons for Trombone and Piano. I also love to travel and garden. I'm excited to be a new member of the St. George's team, and I'm very excited to be a positive influence to everyone I meet here.

Ms. Rita has over 20 years of teaching experience. She's from Yorktown, TX and has been in Austin for over 10 years. Her passion is in early childhood and her strengths and skills include understanding & connecting with children of all ages & developing wonderful relationships with our families and teachers.
