Matt Boulter
Rector
Father Matt is a 50-year-old wayfarer from Texas (with a little bit of “Eastcoastiness” in him) who sometimes thinks he’s traveling down the right path. Serving as the Rector of St. George’s is, for him, the culmination of several decades of journeying with Jesus. A recent Ph.D. in medieval philosophy, he loves reading, running, deep conversations, and hanging out with the three brown-eyed Boulters still living at home with him. His “life verse” is Galatians 3:23.

Marc Opperman
Facilities Director
An inspired ecologist, Marc brings over a decade of professional contracting experience to St. George’s. One capstone project in his portfolio is the expansive St. George’s nature playground, which he co-designed! Marc’s interest in sustainable design and building started in 2007, when he volunteered for Austin’s Wildland Conservation Division. He soon networked his way into a group of Master Naturalists and earned the certification himself. He is St. George’s in-house encyclopedia of Texas wildlife, as well as our maintenance and construction supervisor. In his off time, he kayaks, camps, and volunteers with the Austin & Texas Central Railroad as a passenger conductor.
