Pre-Kindergarten Program
4+ Years
Rainbow Room

Kindergarten readiness begins with a lasting love of learning. Our Pre-K students dive into hands-on, play-based activities to stimulate their comprehension of reading, math, science, social studies, art, music, and more — all at their own pace.

What This Stage Looks Like
Pre-Kindergarten is the developmental bridge between early childhood and school success.
Play-based activities pose cognitive challenges – children this age measure and graph the physical properties of objects, use blocks to build representations of actual structures and vehicles, and exercise their social skills in creative group projects. St. George’s Pre-K students will not only learn their ABC’s, but begin to grasp that letters form words which convey meaning.
Our teachers’ supportive guidance empowers students to strengthen their focus, express their ideas clearly, and build the emotional resilience and task readiness for kindergarten and beyond.
What Our Pre-K Teachers See
These are complex skills that are exciting to learn. Exploring different cultures around the world, applying creativity to big group projects, or practicing how to be patient with others even when we don’t want to – it all creates opportunities to connect the classroom with life at home in really meaningful ways.
