What This Stage Looks Like

Around age three, children show remarkable growth in listening, memory, and comprehension. This opens the door to exploring big concepts: seasons, temperature, patterns, and the beginnings and ends of stories.

Hands-on discovery through the five senses strengthens fine motor skills while encouraging curiosity and focus.

Physical confidence blossoms as children jump, throw, and ride with increasing coordination. Social awareness also deepens as they learn classmates’ names, talk about their families, and begin offering kindness and help to their peers.

What Our Preschool Teachers See

This group learns best through hands-on, imaginative play, which really opens up our ability to make connections to the real world. Pretend play activities linked to familiar experiences from everyday life help children build foundational understanding in a way that is appropriate for their developmental stage.
