Learning through developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) means that our teachers understand children’s developmental milestones and teach with those milestones in mind. So our curriculum is the child. Our teachers keep each individual child’s growth and development in mind when creating lesson plans. Through center-based, creative, hands on approach, teachers develop activities so children can practice skills over and over again. This practice helps children build a strong foundation for future learning.
We understand that children learn best when they feel safe and secure. Creating an environment that supports all areas of learning, cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual is what you will find at St. George’s.
